Frequently Asked Questions

Am I still eligible for the test if I have any disease or illness?

If you have any health issues that could make the regular blood draw risky for you, especially if you are taking blood-thinning medications or if you have a blood clotting disorder, discuss the safety of taking the test with your attending physician.

If you have received blood transfusion or gamma globulin blood derivatives (such as intravenous immunoglobulin preparations), a minimum of six months should pass between the treatment and the GlycanAge test.

If you recently suffered from pneumonia, flue or other acute infection with complications, wait for a minimum of one month's time after the disease has been cured before giving blood samples for GlycanAge test.

You are eligible to take the test if you suffer from other diseases/illnesses. However, please report any other disease and/or therapy to your GlycanAge advisor, as some can affect your GlycanAge result.
